Thank you for pointing these out. No, your transactions were not deleted. There was an incorrect success message when a transaction name was updated. We've also fixed the Transaction Toolbar to now match your Payee List.

One more thing... On the Transaction Toolbar in the "Select Payees" drop-down, I still have a LOT of duplicates... and it's not in alpha order. On the Payees page, things look much cleaner. Any way to fix the view and problem of dupes in the Select Payee drop-down?

Thanks. That seems to be happening. So I followed your instructions and updated a name so it matched another, correctly entered, name. And then they matched but the message the system gave me when I updated the payee name was something like "Success. Those transactions have been deleted." Or something... were any of my transactions actually deleted?

Thanks for your reply. The only problem is, I was looking for a way to not have the same payee listed twice. But if I follow what you wrote correctly, I would end up with one payee listed multiple times. Is there a way to combine them into one Payee record? Thanks!

Sure, from the Select Payees dropdown on the Transaction Toolbar, scroll to the bottom and choose Update Payees. This should give you a list of all your existing Payees. You should then see both of the Payees with similar names next to eachother. Click on the one you would like to change and rename it to the same name as the other one. This will automatically update all transactions with that name to the new name given.

Managing my payees
For whatever reason, I have some duplicate payees, with very slight differences in their names. Is there a way to merge payees, so that all transactions linked to 2 duplicate payees, for example, can be updated so they are all linked to 1 of the 2 payees, while the other payee is removed? I'm reluctant to simply delete a duplicate payee because I don't want to lose the transactions linked to it.
Also, if I edit a payee name, will that change the name for all transactions linked to it?
