Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to automatically carry the balance over since this would limit the options people have with partial bills. This is why we give you the option to select carry over instead of doing it for you automatically.
If the Bill is one time, the system doesnt know where to carry over the next amount to and which date it should be carried over on. To resolve this, you'll need to create a recurrence out of the Bill. If you then only want 2 bills to be created, you can set an end date to the recurrence.

Paying Bills is one of the most important reasons we like using a budgeting program. The best program would automatically carry over the amount past due and add it onto the current bill that is due. I entered a one time bill paid partial and clicked carry over and I did not see the carry over amount
